What is Two-Stage Evaporative Cooling?
Evaporative cooling is a natural way of removing heat by adding moisture to the air creating evaporation. A two-stage evaporative cooler begins with an indirect process. Warm outside air is pre-cooled without adding humidity by passing through a heat exchanger. The air then travels through the direct stage where the pre-cooled air passes through a water soaked media there by achieving the coldest air possible without the use of harmful CFC’s. No one wants to sacrifice comfort to save on money but now you don’t have to. The system uses up to 80% less energy, compared to a traditional A/C.
Environmental Advantages
All Speakman Cooling products are environmentally friendly, containing no CFC’s, but instead provides cooling by evaporating water through a saturated media taking place in a two-stage process, only allowing for constant delivery of fresh cool air at all times. A built in function helps to reduce the power and water consumption. The small amount of water that is used during the cooling process is renewed periodically by a self-purging reservoir. The residual water can be used to irrigate your landscaping or garden areas. All of this cooling can be done while only using less than 1600 Watts of energy.
